Apple Home app
In iOS 16 and above, the Temperature Sensor selector may appear as a TV source in the Apple Home app in the Speakers & TVs section in your Home View. This is because the Apple Home app unfortunately has a bug – it assumes that any HomeKit accessory that uses a list of input sources (which Nest Thermostats do for Temperature Sensor selection) must be a TV, presumably because the Apple TV also uses a list of input sources in HomeKit.
To work around this, open the Apple Home app, press ‘…’ in the top right, navigate to the Room where the thermostat is, touch its tile, touch Accessories, touch the Active Temp Sensor tile, scroll down and touch Status, then uncheck Include in Home Summaries.
Apple Remote app
The Apple Remote app has a similar bug, treating the Active Temp Sensor selector as a TV input source. Our suggestion is that you simply ignore the Active Temp Sensor source in the Remote app. It doesn’t do any harm and shouldn’t interfere with your enjoyment of the Remote app.
